On 04/05/2025 officers from Mansfield South Neighbourhood policing team arrested a male after he failed to stop on an illegal off road motorcycle.

The suspect attempted to flee from officers by driving through a red light and on pavements, all at speed. He thought he could lose officers by cutting over a field and into a housing estate, but officers quickly alighted their vehicle and began to hunt on foot for the suspect.

Officer's subsequently located the suspect and promptly arrested him for numerous offences.

The motorcycle was also seized.

This suspect put numerous people at risk through his reckless actions, one member of public approached us after the suspect had been apprehended to let us know that he had nearly run over her dogs. She was not the only person who spoke to us both during the search and after the suspect had been apprehended to let us know that this individual had been causing issues for a long time.
