Zombie knife found after whiff of cannabis led officers to car |

City West officers seized a zombie knife and arrested two people after searching a parked car in Aspley.
Neighbourhood officers were investigating unrelated reports of antisocial behaviour when they started to smell cannabis.
Believing it was coming from a car parked nearby in Welstead Avenue, police went over to speak to the two men sat inside it.
Sensing something didn't seem quite right, the officers made the decision to conduct a search of the vehicle, around 11pm on Friday (22 May).
A zombie knife in a sheath was duly discovered and seized from the car, along with quantities of cannabis.
Following this, police arrested the two men – both aged 18 – on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in public and possessing Class B drugs.
PC Mark McKay, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This discovery showcased exactly why it's so important for our officers to be aware of their surroundings when responding to incidents.
"Having been drawn to the area for something unrelated, the team took immediate action after sensing something else didn't seem quite right.
"Those suspicions would ultimately result in two arrests and a zombie knife being seized from a car and taken out of harm's way.
"This discovery was also quite a timely one, due to it taking place towards the end of Sceptre – the national knife crime week of action – so we were certainly pleased with this result."
